We are excited to welcome Dr. Bilal Riaz to the IDEA Lab at UNC Charlotte. Bilal Riaz studied computational optimal transport in his PhD. He joined us for the funded LRAP project to explores integrating RL into the diffusion process to guide anti-body generation.

Dr. Yun has received funding from the Eli Lilly and Company – Lilly Research Award Program (LRAP) for the project “ Enhancing Diffusion Models for De Novo Antibody Generation with Multi-Objectives Through Reinforcement Learning.” This project introduces a reinforcement learning (RL)-guided diffusion framework for de novo antibody design, accelerating the design of functional, therapeutically optimized candidates.
