At the 2025 Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE) Annual Conference in Atlanta, Dr. Yun presented research on transferable deep reinforcement learning for manufacturing systems, a collaborative project with Dr. Esma Birisci. The work received the Manufacturing & Design (M&D) Best Track Paper Award.

Dr. Yun officially joins the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at UNC Charlotte as a tenure-track Assistant Professor. Excited to build the IDEA Lab and collaborate on research in AI and manufacturing systems.
